ten things // 23. september. 2014

ten things tuesday:

1. my best friend Grace is living with me for the week, which means PARTY ALL NIGHT. except not really. sleep patterns.

2. i finally have a voice again! kinda? sorta? back story: last Sunday i woke up with a nasty flu. surprisingly, the worst part wasn't the pain - it was losing my voice. the past week definitely taught me a lot, and I'm super thankful to be on the mend.

3. first day of fall was today. whoo. pumpkins. leaves. orange. halloween. very spoopy. so wow. (In all seriousness, love fall. So pumped.)

4. there's only so much breathe right tea a girl can have. and I have reached my limit.

5. i've been jamming "the same power" by worship central lately after a good friend recommended it. check it out if you haven't by clicking here

6. still not sure how I feel about the fact that in about 15 months, my residence will be halfway around the world. kiiinda crazy.

7. everyone should own a pair of leather pants. seriously. go out and get yourself some. it will change your view on the world.

8. lately, i've been struggling with figuring out where to start reading my Bible. She Reads Truth has an amazing (free!) bible study going on right now called "Open Your Bible" (pretty straightforward) that you definitely should go and check out.

9. discovered the best vegan place today in downtown h-town and almost cried. seriously. good vegan food and fresh juice is the way to my heart, people.

10. no matter how many times i am told, it never fails to amaze me how good and glorious my Jesus is. so thankful His ways and His plans are far more greater than mine.

It truly was a once-in-a-lifetime trip, and I'm so glad I got to share it with my adventure family.

adventures // utah

So in my last blog post, I talked briefly about how I went backpacking with some friends in UT.

It's actually a class, y'all.

I got an A to rock climb, tent (well.. sleep on the volley pit under the stars. not a bad deal.), go canyoneering, and so much more.

My life is pretty cool.

Plus, I got to see the three girls that matter the most to me. Hashtag beyoons.

So much love for these canyon walls.

adventures // california

I took about two weeks in May and disappeared from the world.

One week was a backpacking trip with my school in Utah. The week after, we road-tripped to California with some of my best friends, and spent a week being wandering travellers. It was one of the most enlightening experiences of my life, not knowing where we'd end up that day, sleeping on the floor of the van, eating more oreos than we could count, and just all together feeling infinite.
